Our missionary family of the month is Nate and Amy Kidder, currently serving the Lord in Ethiopia.  They have served with SIM USA since 2004 and were based in Blue Nile State, South Sudan from 2006 to 2012.  Since 2014, their ministry has been in Addis Ababa, Ethiopia.  “Convinced that no one should live and die without hearing God's news, SIM desires to see a witness to Christ’s love where He is least known.”  God's Amazing Grace has given Nate an outstanding biblical education, including an anticipated PhD in Biblical Studies from the Southern Baptist Theological Seminary in 2029.  For the past 11 years, he has been teaching various courses at the Evangelical Theological College in Addis Ababa, Ethiopia.  The purpose of his teaching ministry is to equip indigenous church leaders with gospel truth to strengthen the Ethiopian church and to reach the least reached people in the country.  Students are equipped to confront and gently correct heretical, false or human-centered teaching in the Prosperity Gospel Movement, African Traditional Religion (sub-Saharan animistic paganism), and the dangers of English Enlightenment Philosophy for Christian Theology.  Some of the students have also been active in translating trustworthy commentaries and books from English to Amharic (the national language).  For the last five years, Amy has been teaching English to teenagers and young adults coming from two of the least reached people groups in Ethiopia.  Her relationship with the students has provided opportunities for conversation about spiritual matters, Scripture, and the gospel.  Pray for continued outreach and effective teaching ministry of Nate and Amy Kidder.  nate.kidder@sim.org, amy.kidder@sim.org.  Nate:  +1-716-348-0365 Amy:  +251-94-576-3135.
